Our story
Welcome to The Farm at Lazy Bar H, where flowers bloom, chickens wander, and beauty grows season after season.
Nestled on a ten-acre farm in the heart of our community, The Farm at Lazy Bar H is more than just a flower farm, it’s a family legacy, a labor of love, and a commitment to sustainability. Our fields are filled with peonies, hydrangeas, lilacs, tulips, and a rotating variety of vibrant annual blooms, all grown with care and a deep respect for the land.
The farm was originally purchased in 1976 by Kent, my father-in-law, who raised Percheron draft horses and worked the land with them to grow alfalfa. My husband, Chance, grew up in the farmhouse we now call home, and together we raised our four wildly wonderful children here, who are now grown and still delightfully wild in their own ways.
This farm isn’t just our business, it’s our home, our rhythm, and our way of life. And when you bring home our flowers, you're taking home a little piece of that life, too.
Our Farm
In 2024, I decided it was time to bring a new kind of beauty to the farm. After years of dreaming and planning, I turned my attention to flowers. I wanted to transform our land into something lasting, a gift to our community and to future generations. By focusing on perennial plants that return year after year, we’re cultivating not just flowers, but legacy.
We use sustainable practices with a focus on soil health, organic methods, and water conservation, aiming to leave the land better than we found it. Every bouquet we sell is a celebration of local agriculture and community resilience. By choosing local flowers, you’re supporting small farms like ours and helping to keep rural spaces thriving and full of life.
The Farm at Lazy Bar H is where field meets family and the seasons set the pace. We’re proud to call this land home. It’s more than rows of flowers, it’s where we raise our family, watch the weather roll in, and build a business rooted in care, quality, and connection.
Our Flowers
Every stem we sell is grown right here on the farm. That means our flowers are fresher, fuller, and more seasonal than anything you’ll find in a grocery store or warehouse. We don’t import blooms or ship from faraway fields; just fresh-cut flowers straight from our soil.
